ROUND UP: Two hattricks, five red cards, and an end to Teplice’s unbeaten run

Friday’s match saw unbeaten Teplice take on Mladá Boleslav.  Teplice’s plans to extend their unbeaten run were disrupted as Tomáš Wagner grabbed a hattrick for Boleslav, his first ever hattrick in the league.  Boleslav’s Lüftner was sent off early in the second-half.

Jablonec went into their match against newcomers to the league České Budějovice as firm favourites.  However, Jablonec’s Jan Vošahlík was shown the red card in the fifteenth minute of the game, weakening the side.  The match ended in a goalless draw.

Slovácko thumped Dukla Praha 5:1, finding themselves 2:0 up in the first five minutes thanks to goals from Lobor Došek.  Kerber added their third midway through the half, with Dukla reducing the deficit before half-time.  Ten minutes into the second-half, Došek completed his hattrick with Kalouda adding Slováck’s fifth.

At the bottom of the table, Příbram took on Jihlava, who hoped to build on their victory against Hradec Králové in the last round.  New Příbram coach Tobiáš inspired his side to a 1:0 victory with the only goal of the game coming from Jakub Řezníček.  The win ended Příbram’s wait for an away victory after 17 months and 23 matches.

Brno went into their match against Liberec looking to build on their victory over Slavia in the last round.  In the end, Brno emerged 1:0 winners, the only goal of the game coming in the tenth minute from Jan Sykora.

In the Vršovické derby, Bohemians 1905 outclassed a lacklustre Slavia, beating their opponents 2:0.  Josef Jindříšek opened the scoring from the penalty spot in 60th minute, with the final nail in the coffin coming with a goal from Ivan Lietava.

Plzeň welcomed Baník Ostrava, in what promised to be a difficult match.  Plzeň took the lead with a penalty following a foul by Kaša on Chramosta, resulting in Kaša being shown the red card.  Vaněk added Plzeň’s second with a header fifteen minutes from the end.

Sparta kept in touch with Plzeň at the top of the table as they beat Hradec Králové 3:1.  Surprisingly, Hradec took the lead in the sixth minute, but Sparta struck back with two goals from David Lafata and Josef Husbauer adding their third.
