    Plzeň are league champions, newcomers go down

    After their win on Monday over Jihlava, Plzeň secured the title with two rounds still to go. The two newcomers to the league, Hradec Králové and České Budějovice, are relegated to the FNL.

    The 28
    th round of the SYNOT liga kicked off with the duel between Brno and Bohemians.  The Prague side beat their rivals 1:0 to secure themselves a place in the SYNOT liga next season. 

    Friday also saw the match between Sparta and Slovácko, which proved to be a real thriller.  Sparta were 4:1 up in the first twenty-two minutes, with the match finishing 5:2.  Seven goals also fell at České Budějovice, who went down 4:3 to Ostrava. 

    Hradec went down 2:0 to Liberec to relegate them to the FNL next season.  Příbram kept their hopes of competing in Europe next season alive as they walked away with a 1:1 draw in their match with Teplice. 

    Also fighting for a place in the Europa liga next season are Mladá Boleslav, who drew 1:1 with rivals Jablonec.  In the small Prague derby, Slavia emerged 2:0 winners in their match against Dukla Praha.

    Plzeň emerged as the winners of the SYNOT liga on Monday as they beat Jihlava 2:0 to give them their third league title.
